Movie Reviews By Kids: Shorts (2009)

A fantastical story, relayed in the form of short vignettes by director Robert Rodriguez, Shorts is the story of a magic wishing rock and kids’ imaginations gone wild.

But if you want to know how it looks through the eyes of an 11-year old, here’s a short review by Sara Ananya Shah.

1. Why is the movie called Shorts?

Well, there are many reasons for it, like:

• The people who started the menace are called ‘The Shorts’.
• The movie is told in ‘Shorts’ or a mixed up order of episodes.

So, it’s quite confusing. You can decide on the meaning you prefer.

2. What is the movie about?

It is about a magic rainbow rock that makes wishes come true. In creates a huge menace in the town in which it had fallen. It does all sorts of things which I cannot  explain, but, in short, it just creates trouble.

3. What did you learn after watching this movie?

• Don’t pick your nose.
• Use antiseptic wipes.
• Listen to what kids have to say. It might be useful.

4. Why would you recommend this movie to other kids and parents?

It’s very funny, enjoyable for the family and will always put kids in a mood for mischief.
