The holiday season is upon is and some of you have guests arriving for Christmas! Whether they are local or out of town family and friends, you want your home in tip top shape. There is still time to make simple and easy home decorating changes before they arrive.
Bedroom Makeovers
Bedroom makeovers do not have to be a chore since several small touches can be accomplished in a few hours. You might want to start with a fresh coat of paint. It is a quick and inexpensive way to invigorate any room.
To refresh a bedroom, choose warm, rich colors such as tans, maroons, or beautiful blues which will give the room a calm, serene feel. Do you want to save even more time? Paint a single accent wall to add a special touch to the room.
Purchasing new bedding for your guest bedroom is an excellent way to freshen the room. If you do not want to replace the bedding, think about adding a few decorative items, new accent pillows and perhaps a new throw for your guests to snuggle up in. These home decorating ideas are a fast way to restore a new sense of style in the room.
Bathroom Makeovers
Consider replacing the outdated light fixtures in your bathrooms. At least replace those in the guest bathroom. There are many bathroom lighting options on the market today that are not expensive but add style to the room.
New bath towels, hand towels and wash cloths really make a bathroom come alive. In a guest powder room consider purchasing seasonal fingertip towels for a festive touch. Replacing the white toilet seat with a wooden seat will also add richness to the room.

Scent is leading the way with original items such as scented oil candles. They can be used in any room and can be found in a multitude of fragrances. Check with your guests to make sure they are not allergic to fragrances.
